Mylor Harbour. Originally the most westerly Naval Dockyard and victualling station in England, then home of HMS Ganges and the Packet ships and centre for the French Resistance during the Second World War. Mylor, now home to the last fleet of Oyster fishing boats under sail, is a haven for water-lovers of all types. Whether you enjoy crabbing with the children off the pontoon, cruising local waters or racing further offshore.

Surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty, Kernow Charters is tucked away among the tree lined creeks and rivers of an area known as the Carrick Roads, near Falmouth on the south coast of Cornwall and is just moments away from fabulous cornish sailing waters. You don’t come across many end of cul-de-sac Marinas which have great facilities with a cafe, seafood restaurant, new Yacht club and new shower blocks.

Mylor Yacht Harbour has a modern and spacious marina with spaces for 400 boats afloat on finger berths and swinging moorings, a water taxi service, dry berthing arrangements, shower facilities, a launderette and a fuelling station for berth holders and visitors, a public slipway, drying out facilities, storage ashore and winter lay up, electricity ashore and afloat and towing services within the Fal Estuary.

2011 saw the opening of the brand new Mylor Yacht Club building costing over £1million to build and incorporating the Cafe and Windsport shop among many other facilities within its boundries. The improvement programme at Mylor has been done in prepartion for its role as a training camp for the 2012 Olympics and for the future of the harbour and its many businesses.

Whether you are here to enjoy the scenery and wildlife, watersports, the stunning coastal walks and cycle trails, a spot of paddling or simply to daydream and watch the world go by, it is all here on your doorstep.
